Wedding TV - SKY Channel 277 - Recommends Smokescreen Visuals

Smokescreen Visuals were approached by Wedding TV to provide some material for their popular wedding channel. They featured a piece about couples getting married on 7/7/07 and asked Smokescreen to film and interview the couple. The footage was then mixed in with the wedding day highlights created by the Smokescreen team.

Wedding TV were so impressed by Smokescreen’s cinematic style and unique ‘trailers’ that they continued to ask us to provide footage. Smokescreen’s work has frequently been featured on the channel, including wedding day highlights and wedding trailers.

In August 2007, Matt, Smokescreen’s editor was invited by Wedding TV to their studios in London to take part in an interview based on Videographers. He was asked questions that tested his expertise on all matters relating to wedding Videography. This was screened and also mixed with highlights of film created by the Smokescreen team.

Wedding TV were so intrigued by one of Smokescreen’s wedding trailers, featuring a Kung-Fu bride that they asked to be put in touch with the couple in order to feature them on an hour long show! In November 2007, the couple were filmed at their home and at the church where they got married and were interviewed about their wedding day. This will be mixed with Smokescreen’s highlights and screened in February 2008!

'Smokescreen Visuals Judged by Wedding TV'
In March 2008, Smokescreen Visuals entered Wedding TV's Film of the Year. The X-Factor style competition was the first of its kind for the popular wedding channel. Wedding TV opened its doors to entries from all over Europe, giving Videographers the opportunity to be recognized for the work they do. Smokescreen Visuals was short listed and was judged on the show by Film Director Michael Sarne, broadcaster Wersha Bharadwa and the editor of Total Film Magazine, Jamie Graham. All of whom had good things to say about Smokescreen's entry. Jamie referred to our shots as "iconic" while Michael went on to describe Smokescreen's work as "Moving, totally different to any other wedding videos and utterly charming." Smokescreen Visuals was judged among the entrants as one of the top contenders for the award, which is a huge achievement by anyone's standards.
